About Tradroom: As the first establishment to combine the flavors of traditional Japanese cuisine with the dynamic trends of New York’s food culture. The team developed a menu that would preserve the delicate flavors of Japanese cuisine while adding the elements to create Japanese-style tapas that would suit a wide range of palates. In designing the space with a vintage-industrial interior, they aimed to create a venue that promotes a comfortable and lively atmosphere parallel to the izakaya found in Japan. Position Overview: We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic Floor Manager with a strong work ethic and a deep curiosity to learn and grow with our team.This role reports to the General Manager.Qualified candidates must thrive in a collaborative environment, possess a sense of urgency, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in service. Qualifications: 2+ years supervising inFine/ Casual diningrestaurant(s) Deep understandingof fine dining food and beverage service standards. Extensive knowledge of the restaurant industry both in NYC Keen attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of service meet Tradroom’s high standards Proficiency in restaurant management software and tools (e.g., POS systems, reservation platforms). Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and composure. Genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant and an endless curiosity for the food & wine world Positive Attitude, asense of urgency and strong communication skills Preferred beforehand, but can obtain before start date:NYC DOH Food Protections Certificate Responsibilities: Oversee daily dining room operations, ensuring seamless and exceptional guest experiences. Train, mentor, and supervise dining room staff, maintaining a focus on service excellence and guest satisfaction. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure the dining experience aligns with Tradroom’s vision and standards. Manage reservations and guest seating to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction. Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. Maintain a strong presence on the floor during service, leading by example and supporting the team as needed. Monitor and manage inventory of dining room supplies, ensuring proper stock levels. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
